pj Productions began when big-city (Chicago) interior designer Pauletta Johnson decided to escape the rat race and move to small-town Lawrence, Mich. Thirteen years later, quite by a stroke of good fortune, Pauletta met big-city (Chicago) graphic artist Al Sliuzas, who had also decided to escape the rat race and move to Lawrence.
A member of the Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators, Pauletta was doing freelance work from her home while actively searching for a talented artist for one of her children's books. Having never done this type of illustrating before, Al was immediately intrigued with the project.
Working together first on text revision, then artwork and design, the two were also in constant contact with their printing house in Georgia. Being self-proclaimed perfectionists, standards were high, but the final project has exceeded expectations and both are proud to present to you...
